Welcome to the Owen J. Roberts Transportation Department.
State law does not require a school district to provide free transportation to any student; but, if a District does provide transportation, it must be provided to all students alike - public and non-public.
Owen J. Roberts School District transports over 6,000 students to over 75 different public, private and parochial schools within a 110 square mile radius. Utilizing approximately 2000 assigned bus stops, logging over 7,960 miles daily.
Transportation will be provided only for students who are legal residents of the Owen J. Roberts School District.
Kindergarten students are provided with one way transportation only. Noon transportation is not provided. *Kindergarten students must be accompanied at the bus stop by a parent/guardian or older sibling.
Students should be physically at their assigned stop at least five (5) to ten (10) minutes prior to the scheduled "pick-up" time.
Students are to ride only on their assigned bus.
For child care purposes, parents may request that their elementary age child or children be assigned, on a regular basis, a bus route or bus stop different from the route or stop assigned. The parent will complete and submit a Child Care Transportation Request Form.
To request a Bus Stop change, other than for child care purposes, the parent will complete and submit a Bus Stop Change Form.
To inquire if an activity bus is on schedule contact the Activity Bus Hot Line at 610-469-5858. This will advise you if there is a delay.
